University of Vermont & Tufts team builds the First Living Robots - Xenobots
Xenobots are robots that have been created from living cells from Frog's skin and heart.
Xenobots could be used to clean up radioactive waste, collect microplastics in the oceans, carry medicine inside human bodies, or even travel into our arteries to scrape out plaque.
But does this mark the journey of mankind towards singularity ? I'll quote Roy Amara
“We tend to overestimate the effect of a technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run.” - Roy Amara
